I dont like people that Hide things or information that can hurt people.Or Pretend they DONT know them self..COWARDLY!This comic Lame on Tv Richards, really pissed me off, It was the I'm NOT Prejudiced Line thet really was the Trigger.Like I smoke 3 packs a day line..But I dont Inhale.'''IM NOT Prejudiced,''I've heard that from almost every member of my Family.Didn't beleave it then, Don't Beleave it NOW.Was'nt the way they acted..the Clue is They did'nt have any white friends. When they went someplace for an event NO white people were there.I like the line'' I'm a BIGGOT against Biggots better''But in a way I'm Glad it happened as I was Trying to convey..Painstakingly so..to my friends how the times have become, after an activists son got shot in the head in Upstate NY.A few weeeks back.and how I swore that things were going to change..NOT for the better when The KKK came to town a few months back.( 90 miles from NYC)What made me want to express this FACT to my friends is that two,Potentally threatning situations happened to me in a 3 month period. Now thats with over a 20 year history and college going in Upstate ny.With ZERO Racial issues. But no one beleaves one until it hits then.so Look out for Number one!

Poem for Michael Richards

Minstrel shows ,blackface ‘’wipe an Go ‘’ Clones

Have always known…

Uncle tom an the rest

Bullets in the chest

Bullets never missed the Head

bought an sold ancestors

Never forget what’s said..

Racism is sneaky…Deadly.

deceptive

deception to make one believe,

it fools the one who throws the blade in the Victims chest..

The blade molded with words of Pretentious

Apologies inscribed in the Universal Language on the blades spine.

‘’And the funny thing is I’m not Prejudiced hand carved on its handle’’.

But what do you expect?

In a world where the new ’’Pet’ ’is a wide-eyed African infant..

For the Wealthy

Not a ‘’chi-wawa’’ or a chinchilla

And who cooks for them a Mexican Immigrant

You’d been Hung

Toilet plunged

Barbed wire round your neck dragged

Gin fan choking your throat so you wont float to the light of Hate

Buried ,

resurrected an

Shot 42 times

Divorced from Life

Married to a Bullet

You died.

As your Fiancé

And baby Daughter Cried

Canned apology canned sitcom ‘’shtick’’

An apology?

‘’An the ‘’Funny ‘’thing is

I’m not

I mean

It’s not

‘’I mean I’m Not Prejudiced ‘’

Apologies

Are

in the beggars cup of Quinine swollen Heroin junkies on a Harlem street corner Created by consignment drugs

Before the Pizza connection

(before gentrification)

An The ‘’Fugees’’ Miseducation.

Apologies

are

Ghost’s of Rat infested Tenements

with screams of sickle cell- ed kids who ate Lead

Dead with lost Brothers jail cell-ed stacked high on cops conveyer belt

Of Tragedy moving feeding eternity

Apologies

Are

Tears cried and Rose petal Blood on concrete

with Princess ’’D’’

Mother Hail’ an Babies with HIV.

sweat bloody Raw Knuckles From Hillary

Kicking in the door of Racial Profiling

Hitting no smiling,.

Apology

A bent, beat up, beggars cup of Lies

Begging Sympathy

After shackles an Beat me

Forced me to jump off ships and killed me.

Emotionally and physically

Like posters with white celebrity’s

in Black Face attitudes

‘’WE are all African’

Without my Rich Beautiful color to their Skin

on 118th street+ 8th ave.!!

where white teachers ran out class

Where ‘’white people ‘’ feared to walk ,

talk, about, or come to Harlem

No were not all African nor can one apologize

for scarred feet on charred bones on roads that Slaves ran to be free.

Apologies?

Were Never locked in Prison’s to die

The ‘’N’’ word makes you uncomfortable

not its Origin

‘’Deadlocks’’ for everyone

But Dem don’t know where I an I begin

An bubble gum Rap, with no meaning

FOR EVERYONE

when the DJ Spins.

Commercialized Violence blamed on Rap

only in the HOOD….

Invade my dreams?

Wish you could…

Apologies

ARE TRAPPED

Beat by words of the African Drum

secret, syntax , spiritual, scriptures

handed down by the elders.

In a blood Lust sky

will never steal wisdom of truth I see in ones eyes

Trained and steered from the Last whispers of

Slaves hung in trees ,and begging mammy’s on their knees.

Echo’s of Dogs barking,

trained Fear, not to Breath ..

Reflection on soldiers brass buttons from the civil war army

You saw

ME

Apologies

the word ‘’N’ ’word used on them

is the same when used on me

So you,

them ,

they.. or Thus

will never steal wisdom of truth I see in ones eyes

when you attempt to apologize.

"Racism is sneaky…Deadly."

Very true, Carolyn. It's best for people to come out and deal with their racist thinking than to try and hide it. If you really hold others in disdain, it will eventually come out anyway. I do believe if someone honestly wants to change their racist attitudes they can, but pretending you don't have them when you know that's the way you think only spells trouble for everyone who comes in contact with you.

I don't mind a sincere apology, but America has people apologizing left and right and most times it's only for the camera or they're afraid they're going to lose some financial endorsement or something. If they'd face themselves and their racism in the first place, they wouldn't end up in positions where they're "forced to" apologize.

You've got some choice words here. Very passionate write! ~~Nordette
