Poem Artwork

On a stroll through the woods,

sun shimmering, splashing

leaves of heavenly hues…

Their colors so new that

they’d not yet been named…

The old St Joe River,

flowed swift to my right,

constant and sure

in an uncertain world.

A crisp gust of wind,

and an oak shed its cloak….

Soaring geese in formation

honked their farewells…

I gazed at it all

feeling trivial, minute…

In the grand scheme of things

I am naught.

Could the God who

arrayed that glorious display

love, care and

think about me?

Then from inside my soul

came a deep calming voice,

assuring this child

that He does.

Very beautiful and absolutely true! You should write more poetry...I see that these 41 have been here for a long time without your adding any new ones.
"He Does" is truly calming, assuring, inspiring and encouraging. Thanks for sharing it back in 2006, before I was even a member.

Beautiful write my dear friend...that still small voice is always reasuring and there to guide us...if we are willing to listen. I too have often wondered about and felt like the a grain of sand among the sands on a beach, but God cares for us all, afterall we are his children. Again, this is beautiful and written with perfection. Blessed me deeply.
Blessings,

Amen... ALWAYS God's calling card... assuring you of His special attention by fixing your gaze and mind on a vision of nature (usually)that you think has been organised and put on display especially for you personally! The line about the colours so fresh that they have not yet been named is knockout! Beautiful sentiments and expression. Bless you, K xx
