Burnt Omelets

A silly break-up poem.

He said, she said
They argue and debate
The omelets are burnt
And it's quarter past eight

That's it
Enough
We are done
We are through
I cooked and I slaved
As I waited for you

Pack your things
And get out of my place
She shouts and screams
And rants and raves

In a feeble attempt
He stops at the door
One more chance, please
And the tears start to pour

She grabs the meal
From on top of the stove
And hurls it at him
In a moment so bold

As he stood before her
In shame and disgrace
The lying, cheating man
Had egg on his face
