Old love begins as a fairytale, and touches the heart in years until the final days.
My knight doth come to find me here,
Old moon lit eyes upon thy path,
Remembering his kiss of wine,
Now here I sit for he to find,
Tis words he speaks to woo my heart,
A bliss I do not wish to miss,
His soul beckons to who I am,
A love so strong in all I know,
Beyond a stream of life’s affairs,
The walls could speak, our love in years.
A young maiden, oh once was I,
Dreaming of our first blissful kiss,
My knight now grayed with heaven's sky,
Time spent mine eyes now reminisce.
May his grip come to woo my heart,
When this life of mine must end,
My knight doth come to find me here,
Escorting feet up heaven's stairs.
If you tend to believe romantic, passionate, masculine poetry is a thing of past eras, read "She Intrigues Me," and be swept away in the beautiful craft of a contemporary poet of love.
