Documentation Frustration
Late Friday afternoon, I’m on my homeward drive, It has been a really long week, extremely busy, Reflecting on the tasks I’ve done, I start to strive, To think if all were complete, Oh it makes me dizzy!
This very hectic week has got me so stressed out, It really was a short one, with the holiday, Cramming five days into four, had an affect, no doubt, I guess that could be the reason, why I feel this way.
With all the paperwork in place, I now can rest, A new admit, another consult; I’ve finished it all! Still I feel, that I haven’t given it my best, What could have I forgotten, I am trying to recall?
I was careful to “dot my i’s and cross my t’s,” To be sure to meet all the regulations, As I rush through my work, hoping nobody sees, That I am building up many frustrations!
In my hurry to complete each and every task, I can’t remember, if I talked to any of you. Did I stop to say “Hello” or take the time to ask, “How are you doing?”Or share a simple word or two.
I really feel that the key to my success, Not by my paperwork, how I’m evaluated, Should be my ability to share happiness, Is how I would much prefer to be rated.
Things have surely changed, I do not like this fashion, Now I must be sure to find some time to spare, I chose this career, because of my compassion, To help other people, and show that I care.
It all looks good on paper, everything in it’s place. I think the government has really crossed the line, It’s all documentation.What about the human race? The values of this system, we need to redefine!
Cynthia, this is a remarkably well-penned composition, which clearly illustrates that those who work in the medical profession have too much of their daily routine unfortunately being devoted towards useless paperwork, instead of caring for their patients. Hopefully those who are in power in the upper ranks of government and within the feared insurance industries, will finally realize that they too are wasting valuable time and precious resources by saddling the caring and wonderful folks who work in the medical profession with too much and very often unnecessary paperwork. I can remember when the patients’ “well-being” was more important than the bottom line. Thank you for sharing this extremely powerful masterpiece.

people, i thought the only thing about tragerdies was that it brought people together maybe if we stayed together being more helpfulto one another the tragerdies wouldn't have to continue (wishful thinking)

Everything requires oodles of paperwork unfortunately, including going to the bathroom. Sometimes I think if it weren't for the frustation of paperwork we would have more trees.

Just as bad here, infact I guess that's why it is so bad there too.
Cynthia, One can feel your frustrations in your words. The paper trails in every aspect of life is growing longer and longer on a daily basis.
It was the same with Retail, where once your focus was on the actual customer, it's now on the dollar, and how many govt. and state fingers gets to divide it before it hits the register.
