This is the concluding part of the poem. To understand the flow, read Love Song(1).I love this country, but hate our leaders' misadventure in the project called Nigeria.
Nigeria,
Giant among giants;
In your current despair,
I love you,
I adore you.
Nigeria,
Though gang-raped daily,
discarded like broken china,
I treasure you.
Nigeria,
land of my progenitors,
Decked,and mesmerized
with glittering garlands,
I genuflect in awe
At your staying power.
Nigeria,
amidst your bleedings,
amidst your pains,
amidst your battered womanhood,
I love you, I idolize you.
You should send this to Chido Nwangwu in Houston (but then again, you may want to wait a bit.) He is publisher of USAfrica Online Newspaper. (www.usafricaonline.com)

Reminds me so much of the love expressed by God for His people in the allegory of Hosea. Such faithfulness and identification is awesome - as is the reverence expressed. An outpouring of the heart and soul that is made all the more powerful by the purity of sentiment that is written in an uncloying and "eyes wide open" way. A fine tribute from a sincere and committed heart. TY Kate xx
