The sky is crying
She’s waiting
Inside-
Looking through a glass window
Listening to the pulse dose on her oxygen tank
Click-click-click-click-click
With each breath she takes
Bus pulls up in front of the red brick building
Walking slowly
She gets on, and sits down
Again-
Staring through a glass window
Somber in solitude
Carrying a heavy heart, she only wants to breathe on her own again
Gazing down
There on the ground
On a sunless day was a rainbow
Pink, purple, yellow and green
She smiles on the inside
She wonders if the driver can see it
She follows the rainbow with her eyes
The rainbow is surrounding the bus
She knew she was wrapped up tight in God’s arms
Only this time he allowed her to see his arms in living color

Excellent poem Letitia...I felt it! Struggling onto the bus with her oxygen tank, the stares of pity and her anguish of being alone with this burden. Then to suddenly be lifted by the wondrous miracle of the rainbow, reminded of God's love and his love for her.
