Poem Artwork

Skeeterrenault

The dossier stamped
Mission Sapphire in black
Ink set sail across the water
Chartered by a yacht

It had been
A year since
Either one of
Us turned up a
Stone let alone a
Million dollar sapphire
On the FBI's Most Wanted list

Skeeterrenault looked
At me and I knew she was
Thinking what I was thinking
And by the Time we got across
The water we had made contact with
Moscow

The operative
Spoke in code but
The brain chip misfired
And causality kept repeating
Diamonds! Diamonds! Diamonds!

Back on
Track the
Black op contacted
Siberia for instruction
On a fix just a tap behind
The ear we stayed covert on Mission
Sapphire the brain chip again went haywire
And causality kept repeating Coke! Coke! Coke!
Mexico spoke!

Avocados make
The economy dance
It takes two to tango
Pineapples given the chance
Outdance the mango

I love this little bit of satire espionage. The way you described evil as a ship carrying passengers and finally declaring its true mission, diamonds, coke. and other illicit cargo. No cruise ship this.
