Interesting. I agree with your interpretation, although, as Stan and Reg wrote, when a poet writes, the writing may be so strong and inspired that it transcends what he/she is able to do in real life.
A doctor cures people, but this doesn't mean he/she is never ill. And I would say fortunately, as personally, I don't think I would trust a doctor or a poet who isn't human.
I have seen so-called poetry from very grandiloquent people - we have at least one on this site - but what's the interest of reading pieces written by "authors" who think they are God?
