War Rhetoric In South Asia

The political "climate" in South Asia is tense. This is around the vicissitudes surrounding our life and times. This is about the people of two countries who tend to call themselves nations and spew war rhetoric when their respective governments have nothing positive to show in progress reports, and hide their ineffectiveness with war mongering. The common people, their industries, their agriculture, their blood, their sweat all go in vain; and they remain unheard and unspoken behind the loud trumpets of war. There are nations/industries who are keen in selling their weapons to do business, and in certain cases near bankrupt companies are given plum contracts with questionable capabilities.

The marbled and the waxed name
the streets and parks;
the nameless die
in the name of god and war.
In the forests and hill resorts
leaders play Chinese Whispers
with fire flies and stars,
and there are news anchors
in TV whose eyes flash
like missile launchers;
who are proud to peddle propaganda.

We must watch carefully the motives of those movements and cut them off if we can.
