Away from the rush of the world,
You held my gaze for several moments -
Before me, destiny unfurled.
When our lips touched you pulled me into you,
Into the craggy corners of your Soul,
Our tongues the bridge of Immortality,
Setting forces in motion - magnets beyond our control.
So…you love me still,
And, Yes, I love you too,
You fill my heart with thorns and splinters,
My mind with fog and dew -
This torrid love knows no boundaries!
Deep sighs seem to knit us together,
There’s no certain avenue of escape,
Each glance, each breath the tether
Urging us to reconstruct that bridge
So all signs and signals scream ‘Go’ -
And we’re off, running toward one another,
As the kindling's lit; the flames are aglow.
Two enflamed lovers dying to burn,
An inferno blazing beyond our control,
The heat scorching us from within,
The passion engulfing each Soul…
