THE CASTLE
After riding the winding rails of
time, through varying terrain--
mountains, valleys, tunnels of
pain, I chug into wisdom station
-- and pass into perception,
Finally there, I bid farewell
to youth, and disembark--
preparing to savor a few of
the comforts I have earned.
Resting, relaxing in a warming
pool of confidence, enjoying
maturity, and pleasuring in the
view of my Mt. Sinai-- history
in full glory shining through
thinning clouds above me...
But soon, arising from lethargy,
I see that time yet demands of
me a personal climb--up to the
castle-- the summit of "verity."
My whole life spent in search
of it, I now begin to find it.

"I chug into wisdom station
-- and pass into perception,"
Takes a lot of traversing to get there but isn't it a grand destination.

Just when we think we can relax and are through searching, we find we've only begun. I like the analogy of the train station at the beginning.
