The Faerie Circle

The faerie circles of Ireland are steeped in legend and lore, but many still believe. I always loved the magical stories my paternal grandmother told of the old country. Do you believe?

The Faerie Circle


Hidden deep in woodland mist_


Gleaming circle, moonlight kissed.


 


Starlight’s bright and luminous beams_


Whimsical Fairyland of dreams.


 


Song of Faerie, low and sweet_


Dance within the circle’s heat.


 


Magic, pure and good of heart_


Shadowed visions to impart.


 


Mystical land of faith and lore_


Transient visions of a time before.

I tapped your syllables out on my fingers, Elizabeth, going into the third read, and finally captured the cadence.

Somehow, the irreularity of this piece disturbed me, at other moments, it delighted me. The puncutation and delivery_

excited me.

No go for me, but Sir Arthur Conan Doyle certainly believed in them..
Though Man UTD have faires playing for them...

But always loved the stories as kid. And the likes in Lord of the rings...

I love the mythologies and magical stories - they are all great works of imagination and warm us in ways nothing else does.
