My Lord just made known to me, what I'd asked Him, a little ways back.
Why so many can't seem to answer,
His life giving, call;
He says, they are substituting the word, SOME,
for the, intended, word: ALL.
For what you hold back, and keep, in your own care,
turns all, into nothing, and makes, a potential, beautiful flower
into a worthless, tare.
Like a guitar made by a master, that will resonate, true .
But, with the strings, in the wrong place, can never sound, like, it was intended, to.
Or, a man or woman, who, claims to be His, and yet, holds back,
things for thier own, exclusive control,
and see, His Lordship,
as loss and, lack.
So if you want to sit in this, no limit, all in, game,
then quit thinking you can somehow avoid, the cost, and play, all the same.
For any winning hand that comes your way,
is negated by your refusal, of the ante, to pay
And though it may look like you might eventually win,
in reality, your stuck in your own, held onto,
willful sin.
So before you continue, to proclaim, a Christian, to be.
Open your ears and hear, thru His eyes, learn to really see.
That CONTRITION, is the ante, you must,
put in,
If in His Grace you desire to abide, eternal life, hope to attain,
and the race,
to win!
"Oh Lord, open my lips, That my mouth may declare thy praise.
For thou doest not delight in sacrifice
otherwise, I would give it; Thou art not pleased with burnt offering.
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit.
A broken, and, CONTRITE heart, Oh God,
thou wilt not despise." Psalm 51:15-17
