Can Anyone say right and honest
That they have had a genuine love?
None does start with honesty,
Or do they continue with trust;
Each forever looking for fault
Within the Other.
The crippled Crutch may progress
Through minions of Time numerous;
But always with the Campanions
Of Anger, Frustration, and Pettiness.
Some Scavenger invariably appears,
Be it Death or the lesser decays;
Bringing Doom on a sour, regretted Note.

I believe you have named several of the secrets of true genuine love if those who seek it kept these lines in mind by doing the opposite of what the rest of the world does. Excellent piece, Lawrance.
