Did I not put on my hearing aid today?
I can’t seem to hear a word that you say
I seem to only hear the kids at play
But, maybe things are better that way
If I knew what you said I may take acceptation, you see
And that would start an argument between me and thee
I ask you, “How helpful would a disagreement be?”
It is so much more pleasant when we two agree
But then if we settle arguments and make each other see
Sometimes we both learn from each other when we disagree
If we each share our opinions with no animosity
With no hatred or loathing or hostility
We each share opinions in friendliness and generosity
We can both learn from each other. How bad could that be?
