A single stone Smoothed by countless seasons Aimlessly tossed into a pond... Circle surrounding circle in endless display Framing my solitude Reflection
A compelling glimpse of solitary reflection...a feeling I sometimes loathe (like that soul-body empty feeling of ennui) yet something I never seem to get enough of--solitude. Love this one.
"A single stone
Smoothed by countless seasons
Aimlessly tossed into a pond..."
Powerful beginning and powerful end:
"Circle surrounding circle in endless display
Framing my solitude
Reflection"
Fantastic write Dear Taylor! Love the continuity framing your oneness ... whispering of our collective Oneness ... our individuality dissolving into our indivisibility! (Root meaning of individual is indivisible.)
Beautiful!
Love, Suzie :-D
There is beauty in simplicity and this is perfectly demonstrated in this write. I like the metaphor of the 'single stone' and the visual created by the ripple 'circles' that frame 'my solitude' A lovely piece. Congratulations!

Sometimes these ripples keep reoccuring until that is all that we can think about, then it is time to toss another smooth rock into the pond, kinda disrupt the status quo.
A beautiful picture/vision of the power of one small pebble being thrown into the pond, and how the ripples eventually reach all the surrounding shorelines.
How much less our own lives as we reach out to share what has been given us to bless those around. It is always better to give than to receive.
A very rich write from a talented poet. I salute you dear friend!
If you tend to believe romantic, passionate, masculine poetry is a thing of past eras, read "She Intrigues Me," and be swept away in the beautiful craft of a contemporary poet of love.
