I was happy sitting on my mountain of content
Your words came to me...heaven sent
You spoke of things I needed to hear
The words of love I held so dear
You lifted my spirits and the Eagles soared
You promised love...for ever more
Guarding my heart for all these years
Until sad stories brought me to tears
You made all the wrongs...seem so right
Then promised bliss into the night
You knew my heart...it's honor you'd steal
Your superficial love bloomed...as real
You tantalized my love...beckoned from afar
Wanting to engrave another deep scar
All you needed I would have given from the start
Merely to avoid another broken heart
I'll be moving on as I've done before
Clutching more tightly the key to love's door
Do you think I have my self to blame
allowing the spark of love to flame
One day I'll find a love that is true
For now I am sure that love isn't you

Ron,
We have all had love and lost it at sometimes in our lives. But you said it so beautifully, how it really feels. It touched my heart. Something tells me that one day you will find that true love.
