IT DOESN'T SEEM TO MATTER

The ice cream man is coming,
I can hear him ring his bell,
The children run to meet him,
To buy the goodies he sells.
They never even notice,
The cars out in the street,
The only thing you hear is,
The sound of running feet.
But then one day it happens,
A car comes speeding by,
He had to much to drink so,
Somebody's going to die.
He doesn't even realize,
The life he's going to take,
He doesn't stop to think of,
The hearts he's going to break.
He doesn't hear the sound of,
A mother when she screams,
It doesn't seem to matter,
That he took away her dreams.
His mind is really cloudy,
He isn't thinking clear,
How could he think of driving,
After drinking all that beer.
Some day our prayers will be answered,
Drunk driving will finally cease,
the drivers that took our loved ones away,
will finally rest in peace.

We can't write about it E N O U G H, unless more stringent measures are taken, I feel our lives will always be an unfortunate lesson!

But Drinking is legal, a Bar on ever other corner. You will never stop it as long as politicians get kickbacks from the liquor companies. Have you ever heard of anyone killing someone while driving under the influence of Pot? Alcohol is the worse drug problem we have in this country ...Bar none.

Alice,
My mother died by the hands of a drunk driver. She had gotten off work around midnight. As she crossed the road to get to her bus a car hit her. She was knocked 75 ft. She left eight children behind, me being the oldest. It's been many years ago but the pain and loss will never go away. The drunk driver hit my mother then kept going. He didn't have the decency to stop.

Don't you hate it when they drink and drive?...taking innocent victims with them...
