You have released my mind with your amazing awareness, reopening a world to me that I had forgotten; healed my heart from spirit-shattering suffering that nearly destroyed me, and in that healing I have discovered sanctuary, serenity and satisfaction; valued me and helped me restore my faith in myself; shared my laughter, and in that sharing I regained my joy; understood my soul by allowing me to be honest and vulnerable without fear of judgment; and loved my spirit which has let me remember how to love myself again- just as I am.
These extraordinary gifts of friendship are invaluable- there is no means by which to measure their significance. You are, to me, a wonderful, God-sent gift. With you, I treasure every marvelous moment- the ludicrous laughter that comes from enduring the ordinary events of every day existence; the poignant pain that our experience has brought, to make us who we are; the taste of tears we dare not let others see, for they just do not understand how intensely liberating those tears are; the enduring trust, knowing that confidence is hard gained and too easily lost; the powerful passion for living, and the people whom we admire and love.
I am delighted to know you my kindred spirit. Our minds, souls and spirits, in each other find the freedom to be genuine without hesitation- knowing that there are no dire consequences for our candor. We share the amazing ability to use our minds to escape the limits imposed on us, by bodies afflicted with this "finicky disability"- thus keeping our spirits from breaking and ensuring our souls stay connected with that which is sacred. This profound connection, I have searched for over many years that have felt like multiple lifetimes; but now I can honestly say that our friendship merited my strenuous search.
