An experience - where you and I develop meaning, through struggle, conflict, growth.

How does a "word" come into being?
First there is an experience with some
"other" person,
or a group,
an interaction.

A process begins,
a spoken symbol, is exchanged.
My experience, your experience, our experiences
that have meaning for me, you, us.

I, you, we develop that meaning,
that idea thorugh struggle, conflict, growth.
The sumbols have different meanings
for each of us.

The meanings and ideas that we each
know within are slowly
breathed into the air,
they grow out of us.
The exchange of symbols is deepened.

We use facial expressions,
in converation,
in dialogue,
and touch,
and for each of us the knowing grows.

We want to record our knowing to help
us on our way ..
to help me to decide to act-
so you can act -
so we can act, separately and collectively -
so we write something down in words.

The written words follow the exchanged words
and in that learning
The Word
we offer you to read, our words,
will hopefully be transparent,
enabling you to see through them,
"The Word"

At the beginning of time
the Word already was
and God had the Word
abiding with him, and the
Word was God.
