What would it matter, one less life
When the world's full of sorrow and strife.
An aging man struggles to live while his family gather round to devour him.
Loyalty gone, sorrow sets in his place while anger and jealousy gnaw at my bones.
Father is gone, does know one care? I grieve.
My brothers turn, one to drink, one against me, one into nightmare dreams.
My Mother screams her rage into my face "You were the only child his eyes ever seen."
I weep bitter tears for life's little joke. My Father, my world, felled in one stroke.
First in shock, then in denial, now anger rages in my blood poisoning my soul.
Words said in anger blind my eyes. Betrayal, denial and selfishness abide as I drift in a sea of grief.

Be always safe,
