I have a habit of putting off to tomorrow what I could do today. I don't know why I end up in a rush and don't have things done?

Later

When I was young there was always tomorrow
Dreams postponed, hoped for later
Work and everyday seemed to matter more
Older now, tomorrow is today
Left unbidden, it will become yesterday
And I will be left with only sorrow

Wiser words were rarely spoken!!

Do I ever know what you mean!! My daughter is 55, my son 53...won't say my age, but...let's just say I wasn't a child bride. Every minute
is a gift.

'k, some minutes (hours, days) suck. But you get where you know how to coast. Are sometimes grateful for aggravation. Means you're
aliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiive!!

Ray is always quoting an old gent who was asked how he was doing.
"I may not be rollin'," he responded, "but I am still rattlin' !!"

Love the poem as a poem, as well. Clear and simple and not a word
is wasted. BRAVA!!

Seize the moment, girlfriend. SEIZE THE MOMENT.

Tomorrow holds new horizons, adventures and hope. I have learned in the past 2 years that tomorrow is never promised so plan today for all tomorrows and yesterday will smile. I loved this, very well done and quite deep actually. Glad to see you again and am very happy to be back.
Hope to see more of you my friend.

Go for it now, Elizabeth,
fix it now, all is now and is the only way.
Well said!

I seem to be wandering this same path, Liz. A nice poem of reflection. I'm going to reconsider my habits. Nice to see you post again, too. Miss you!

THIS REMINDS ME OF THAT OLD CLICHE WHICH SAYS '...DON'T PUT OFF FOR TOMORROW WHAT YOU CAN DO TODAY...' HOW TRUE IT IS. MOST OF US DON'T WANT TO GET OLDER BUT THE WISDOM THAT WAITS WITH AGE...IS WORTH THE ADDED YEARS. H-M-M-M, STILL...WISH I HAD GOTTEN WISER YESTERDAY(SMILE). GREAT WORK. THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

Procrastination... an endless cycle of guilty feelings. But I am not sure that sorrow is that all that will be left, there is much more than that inside you.

I try to live in the moment so that I don't dwell in the past and enjoy my life. tomorrow will come but it is today that truly matters.

Much peace, love and light,

Well hopefully today you can realize one of your postponed dreams. It's easy to go with the flow until everything stops moving. Patrick

Hah! Seems we both were fixated on today, tomorrow, etc. today, Elizabeth.

As they say, life is what you make it, but the prevailing problems is that most of us wait too late to do anything but just ride it on out.

Good work.

I have the same tendency, Elizabeth, and have been trying to break old habits! I love how you have woven your words together, a masterful job indeed. A very good read. Joy L. Hale
