This is not like me. Things are happening during these holidays quicker than I grasp...

Poem Artwork

Feelings need to be written,

For I never let a soul dared to see

For I am searching for my own identification

And discover who is the real me.

Happiness in times past I portrayed

When tears in my eyes dared to peep

Under the hardness demeanor

A child wanting what love illustrated to be.

To search the new horizon

Miles gone past hurriedly

As I stand amazed pretending,

This is not happening to me.

To seek so close to miss it,

To try and try again,

I can not stop arranging,

I know I am covered with God’s hand.

Letting go is a battle,

Waiting is hard to understand

Only with God I will make it,

By His grace I finish His command.

It's hard to let hurtful things go, I know Sharon. Put them in the Lord's hands, sweet lady. Let Him heal you. This is good, writing poetry about it. It's cleansing, purifying. Bless you, Sharon!
Love and Happy Christmas,
CJ

Powerful...

"He that dwells in the secret of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty; I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God; in Him will I trust." Psalm 91;1-2

God bless you, Sharon.
Love, Rhonda

It is hard to let go and let God be God. Also, the psalmist encourages us to be still and know that God is God. Christians function in two ways. The visible way for the world to see, which may mean we put on a face for the world that masks the real us. But our invisible dimension is seen by God. He sees the real us.

In a world shaken constantly by chaos, one will grow weary and the search for and achoring of Self in spiritual awareness becomes one of the most powerful acts an individual can perform. Great poem.
