I wrote this after watching an episode of Star Trek The Next Generation. I believe the episode is called "Metamorph" and it's about a woman who can become the perfect mate for any man, until she bonds (takes on the personality traits of) with one person. Doesn’t that sound like most women? Anyway, in this case, she chose to bond with Captain Picard, but to marry the man who had been chosen for her. Picard gave her away at the wedding.

Since I was removed from stasis
My attraction's at its peak
I just can't walk among you--
Your hormones might spring a leak!

For I am of species metamorph
A being that becomes what you wish
Until I bond with my chosen
I can be any man's dish!

But it's you I find interesting Picard
Quite a compliment you have received
For when we find you interesting
A plateau has been achieved.

I've seen no other as sweet
