It has been a few years since I have been on here, I went through a depression which stole just about everything good from me, but I am back and hope you enjoy what I share.
Life Changes, With Depresion August 16, 2025 By Rose Marie Rideout Through the years I have learned a lot, Not to let life be stolen from all I got. Life is too short to close your eyes, And let things fade like scary grey skies. Depression can lead you on, Taking all that has to go wrong. All you love,the writing,the quilting, and playing the guitar,and family, Stealing all the love you have, Everything that you've given freely. You feel lost and empty inside, Looking for another guide. You sleep and cry your life away, Praying tomorrow's a better day. It could be months and sometimes years, To break through all the tears and fears. Don't lose track of who you are, Because depression can take you far.

I have just come out of more than 10 years of depression where I couldn't think of anything to write, nor did I have any will to write anything. But it is behind me now. I feel reborn into another phase of my life, suddenly realizing how much time I had wasted on doing nothing. I'm not going to go through that again, we are designed by God to be creative. HE puts everyone of us in this world for a purpose - a purpose that is so unique and that we know our own value and what we must do for ourselves. I wish you best in all your future endeavours. Yes depression can erase all that you lived for once. When you feel better, you realize what a dark cloud you once were in. May your heart be light, and your determination strong, may you find solace in those you love and the passions that you embrace, Thank you for sharing such an important poem on a subject that many hold close to their heart.
