I love you,

will always love you,

have always loved you.

I don’t wish to sound

like some weirdo

lost in lala land

or dreaming of

lives past or future,

but I DO feel

as if our souls have been

entertwined in the past.

When first I met you,

I was sure I

had known you before.

I felt immediately

at ease with you

and that isn’t

a thing I feel

with many people.

It is hard to describe

or articulate,

but you calm me,

you make me feel whole.

For most of my life,

I have felt empty and alone.

Since you,

there is a

sun in the sky

and joy in my heart.

I can’t have you,

you were never

mine to claim,

all along your heart

belonged to another.

I too,

belong to another.

I am not mine to give,

although I know

that makes no sense

to anyone but me.

We are akin

to two ships passing

on turbulent seas,

lifelines went out

and we moored together

for comfort and relief

from the angry sea

of life.

Our moorings

have been released

and again,

we cast ourselves

out to sea.

As the pitch

and roll of

life without you

once again turns

my stomach,

I look to you

and see you

fading away

into the horizon.

I wish you well

on your journey

and wave a sad

farewell.

My life is complete,

just at having been

awarded the honor

of knowing you,

my soul is complete

for the joy of

loving you.

As I sail

the seas of life,

always

you will be

missed,

you will always

be loved.

Go

into that gorgeous sunset,

live a life

of happiness

and joys untold.

I pray for you

a safe

and calm journey

and wish for

your sails to unfurl

in gentle breezes.

I pray

no rocks scrape

your hull

and that you

never stumble on

shallow or angry waters.

I wish for you

the serenity of

the sunset

and the

glorious beauty

of the sunrise.
