Radio station KPRI FM in San Diego has proposed the song title "In the Dirt" 
                            to the San Diego Songwriters Meetup, the job of its members to write the lyrics 
                            and melody to match.  Of an expected 40 entrants, the winner's performance  
                            will be re-recorded in a professional sound studio and later broadcast in the 
                            station's Sunday evening "Homegrown Hour." 
                            
                            I wrote the lyrics for the bawdy ballad "In the Dirt" in mid-March, 2012.  Now 
                            in mid-May, 2012, I've just received a "first draft" soundtrack of instrumentation 
                            and vocal by Jim Wright of San Diego County, who's the same singer who 
                            provided the vocal and melody for my other AD post (Poetry) song lyrics 
                            "Every Second."

                                                  M'lady offered up a private pill
                                                  She had hidden outta sight
                                                   I gulped it down without a question
                                                   And we shared one more delight

                                                  Then she kissed me long 'n nuzzled close
                                                   Suggesting we have more
                                                    M'dazzled eyes asked the question
                                                    She answered, "How 'bout four?"

                                                   Well, I got this to say

                                                   Some time after noon it was 
                                                   When the sheriff first appeared
                                                   He shook his head 'n spoke his words
                                                    "It's just as I had feared."

                                                   I copped a little look around
                                                   "Where's my little skirt?"
                                                   The lawman choked 'n shared his wit
                                                    "Tell us about your hurt"

                                                    It was quite a night, I have t'say
                                                    Money's gone 'n virtue, too
                                                    But I'll swear this 
                                                    Under oath, my friend
                                                     It was great for quite a few!
