Time goes more quickly as I grow older
The summers seem hotter and winters, colder
The memories flood with the years gone by
Youth’s anticipation of new things to try
Wanting to be grown to wear that first bra
Now needed to hoist each drooping flaw
Pushing them up what cleavage dares
Without it, the ankles, proximity shares
The makeup I wore, so boys would engage
Now hides all the wrinkles of time on the page
The book is intact but the binding is worn
A face lift might raze every kiss that it’s borne
I looked forward to smoking and drinking some wine
Now I wish I could quit, (long`s the whiskey’s all mine)
But Prozac’s expensive and St. John’s is bitter
Plus, my father once told me, ‘no one like a quitter’
I had in my head a white picket fence
With more gladness and money than I had good sense
A man who would love me and stay by my side
Who saw only me and reflected that pride
The older I get, it’s all down hill from here
Gaining momentum with each passing year
It’s said that a body in motion keeps going
I think that my Freudian slip might be showing
In all, I have little, to make a complaint
I’ve been a bit wicked and (not quite) a saint
But as days speed on by, I can hear heaven chime
‘In the blink of an eye, you’ve caught up with Gods time’

As I've grown older, I've grown fonder of older women and what they can offer. They can still thrill me especially if they have a naughty streak.
As for quitting, I'll give you thumbs-up for smoking and then let's go have a drink of whiskey together.
