Wind swept wrestler, tired eyes
Beneath the shadow of these southern skies
My heart sheds a beacon, beckoning you in
My eyes carry the light that you seek deep therein

Thine own echo dwells from within
To feel thy presence upon my own skin
What heart beats with a notion of worth?
Given by life on the day of birth

Shall I shed splinters, like tear fallen skies?
Casting no shadow like cloud ridden cries
I’ve felt the rays of the virgin sun
Caressing my body bound I am one

One light to lead a thousand candles
Where I’ve walked with earthly sandals
My own footprints cast among the sands
Could not comprehend, who I really am

One man driven by suede, not toiled by fashion
Less I be, then be thy heart of senseless passion
My body’s breath shall break me down
Yet I am unlike my kin, old Charlie brown

Blue suede shoes, no sense I see
To honour life, beneath the shade of this Joshua tree
My heart lingers lonely, earthly!
Virgin thoughts I cast within
To utter life as the new world begins
