Written from within the depths of my own depression, with love for those who suffer depression

Holding Back, I Feel The Tears

My eyes hold back the tears
Am I a shadow of my fears?
Broken burdens left behind
Am I lost, among the whispers of my mind

At first it started, with I don’t smile anymore
Then I turned my head towards the floor

As I look upon the mirror, I am saddened by what I see
Stirring from the very depths, inside of me
No longer shall I look upon my cast reflection
Looking at my own imperfections

Hidden in my heart, are the feelings torn apart

Imminence, I am the open sea
Trouble and tainted are the feelings inside me
My burden is a lonely heart
Lost among the lonely harps

And it is not my choice!
Now I speak with a saddened voice
I speak this way, with a saddened heart
And in my heart there are tears that I impart

My depression leaves me hallowed
And my heart echoes, as the wind blows
Insomnia plagues my sleep
Lonely is the light I keep

My heart’s burden in my sight
Cloudy days and lonely nights
My eyes hold the hallowed tears
That I felt upon my fallen years

Keep on writing about it and I think you'll eventually find the answer in your words. Be well, my friend and God bless.

Darryn - sometimes it just takes writing it down and then read reading it, over and over and over again. Finding that ray of sunshine can be difficult, but don't give up HOPE... You have a lot of life to live!

God Bless You,
Deborah
