Mistletoe by Candlelight

Hark the herald angel, as angels sing
Glory to the world, and the Christian king

Sleigh bells jingle in the snow
As tinsel glistens among the bows
Silent mistletoe in the night
Upon Christmas Eve in candlelight

Carols sing among the streets
The first noel, on hallows sweet
Ornaments slung upon the tree
The gift of goodwill unto thee

Sugarplums fairies near and sweet
Mistletoe, chauffeuring carollers under feet

Holly sash as Icicles glow
The hallowed ebb in Christmas snow
Mistletoe by candlelight
Sleighbells whisper among the lights

Cranberry sauce and mulled wine
The hallow sound of Christmas chimes

Eggnog, chestnuts roasting by the fire
To honour a man, we call our sire
The holly light of Bethlehem
