You capture it well! I drive Taxi all night and I never tire of the dancing green curtains far overhead. Makes the forty below zero nights well worth it! I came here to Alaska for a two week vacation ....fifteen years ago! That two week holiday is still going!
I recall one night when I was in high school, walking home in 20° below zero in Wisconsin, when the sky opened up with not just green, but red and yellow aurora borealis. As soon as I got home, I called my friend, Doug who was always interested in those sort of things. Doug told me that he had been photographing them for a couple of hours already. Unfortunately, I never saw any of those photographs, but the vivid colors have stayed with me all my life.
It was thrilling to see the northern lights IN Alaska; I've seen 'em before, quite a few times, but I had never seen 'em in Alaska until we went to Denali! You capture the joy and excitement of seeing the Lights perfectly; well done, Karla!
