A Freudian Nightmare

This was written back in March of 2002 ... it could go under horror or pyschology. I've currently revised this write for posting here on authorsden. Needless to say, I was in a bit of a tizzy whilst I penned this.

Deep within the recesses of a twisted mind
There do lay the seeds of doom
Planted with love a century ago
Or could that be two?

Time, however, matters not
At least not with matters such as this
Pertaining to the hate that grows within
Blackened more than the blackest of sins
To eat away at this very flesh
A hate so cleverly hidden within the trust given

Speak to me now, or forever I shall eat your tongue
Like a hearty meal as I chew forever upon the flesh
So sweet and innocent, your flesh does taste
As blood drips down between my teeth
Whisper those words, I dare you!

Or feel my wrath upon their utterance
Ensnared me within your maw you did
To eat away my life and soul from within
I trusted you, through and through
And all that is left is this shell called 'Me'

To think I loved you will all my heart
I still do, with whatever is left
As I feast upon your soul as it is entwined with my own
And what would Freud say of one eating one's self?
