Pitter patter,

the sound of quiet rain.

Spash and roar,

angry cars outside my window.

I hear the horn,

Of trains in the distance.

Mocking me sounding,

of another night of written words.

I think of you and time not spent,

Wondering what you may be like,

How long till we meet.

I try to put pen to paper.

But, what would i say?

I love you, i miss you....

How can this be?

Will your hand fit neatly in mine?

Will i take the pain from your loving eyes?

Life is a fickle thing when one must dream.

I wonder how long it shall be,

untill you are here with me.

my mind seems to play tricks,

I cannot sleep, is this it?

Is this how it shall be.

The longing i feel it just cannot be,

Unless fate grants me peace.

Oh how i try to put pen to paper.

To tell you i love you,

to let you know you mean the world.

I wish i could tell you,

your my all, my dreams,

My heart as it shall forever be.

Jenn this captures so well the feelings of so many people who now find themselves meeting and falling in love long distance or maybe just cyber distant apart. For some it is a heartbreaking experience as words on a screen cannot replace the feel of hand in hand but for others...it ends up being a miracle of love that lasts forever. Well done.
