One day a man found himself walking in the sun, smiling,
Thinking happiness that had eluded him for so long had been found.
They laughed and played,
For hours they gazed at each other with loving eyes,
Not feeling the need for words.
Heart exposed again,
Hoping not to be stabbed and left bleeding.
Then one morning he awoke,
Only to realize it was just a dream.
And yet it seemed so real,
The feelings, the touch, ethereal in so many ways.
But, yet as he became fully awake,
He realized it was not a dream,
But just an apparition of his own making.
this took us on a most compelling look around vulnerable chinks in the armor we sometime build around our heart...a difficult thing to do and you've expressed it so well here...neat ending, walt
