Mister, Mister, you think you’re so smart.
So you are a writer and, “Maybe" you’re good.
But you are not thinking just as you should.
You are a house husband, retired.
The housework and yardwork you need to do,
Without a complaint, I know you.
Dishes I will do and more for you.
Because I know the consequences,
An impromptu tongue lashing,
I will surely get I think.
As I stare sheepishly at the sink.
Never vehement,
But always succinct,
