“Truth is, …”

In a world gone mad, but not in a good way,

I retain my sanity, by writing some poetray.

Truth seems to be highly interpretable,

from “need to know” to “unavailable”.

Can’t handle the truth?  Sorry to disappoint you, Jack.

We can.  We’re just sick of the ill-ite holding it back.

“Truth in advertising” is an oxymoron at best.

Did your automotive wrench set come with a woman semi-undressed?

“Fair and balanced”, they say with a straight face.

White corp-controlled news media cannot be; that’s truth’s ace.

Truth is doled-out like soup to the homeless;

just enough to keep the image of concern alive by the soulless.

“Truth is stranger than fiction”, of that we’re all aware,

but stranger still is who got the truth to compare?

“Just gimme some truth”, Lennon cried.

Let’s demand it daily ‘til we join him on the other side!

Truth, Justice and the American Way.

A patriotic concept ruined as Lies and Injustice govern America today.

“Truth is, …”, here comes the lie;

newly refined and back for another try.

True romance is usually neither;

truth is blurred by romance’s ether.

True Adventure; stories as a kid I relished,

at the time I was not familiar with the word “embellished”.

Truth is, civilization needs to maturate,

–         before it’s too late.

… and while on that subject, …

God Bless America, if she must,

but let’s pluralize it and be just.

Or better yet, let’s put all fairy tales to rest,

it’s time for intelligence to reign – the best!

If not, then know this, …

… my people; the ones not under the spell,

we’re only 15%, but once united, we’ll give ‘em their hell!

So, with the use of the history-proven percentage for successful revolution;

humans will have the opportunity to move toward illumination,

… and become Truthful.
