This is the last poem in the series of "Poetray Rants". Some of the messages of these poems are ironically being played out in the news right now as you read this.
Revolution; change for the positive,is up to us individually. I am still outraged daily, but as the first lines in each poem state; I've found a way to stay sane.
Thanks again to all who have visited my site and spent a few minutes of your life here, its sincerely appreciated and please don't stop, I will be posting titles on a regular basis.

Injustice We Trust

In a world gone mad, but not in a good way,

I retain my sanity, by writing some poetray.

Injustice is like the common cold; inequitable.

Although it seems that ethnic people are exceptionally susceptible.

Women are treated as second class citizens,

to suppress their obvious power that is not mens’.

Injustice; cries out from the grave in vain,

as every day more join in the chorus of pain.

Non-accountability is convenient for the guilty and morally-weak.

The maddening silence you hear is White House-speak.

Trust; is there anyone that you can?

I trusted a good friend and he squealed to the man.

Injustice is the name of the song,

the lyrics are the manipulation of right and wrong.

Injustice has been proven by the testing of DNA;

one-by-one innocent victims leave prison day-by-day.

Persecution; an ugly human trait,

injustice executed with malice and hate.

Injustice is the ringer for the white man,

a sure-fire “lock’em-up an’ throw away the key” plan.

But, …

In an anything-can-happen-world; the odds even-up.

Soon all you injustice dealers will be raking your prison bars with a cup!

So attention all soulless scum!  You know who you are!

Fortunately so do we; so the demise of your reign is not far.

Because, …

Although injustice is powerful and ubiquitous,

so are the 15%; we know it’s-up-to-us.

… and while on that subject, …

… my people; the ones not under the spell,

we’re only 15%, but once united, we’ll give ‘em their hell!

So, with the use of the history-proven percentage for successful revolution;

 humans will have the opportunity to move toward illumination,

… and become Just.

This is so true, so powerful, so thought-provoking. Why are there no reviews here? Great work, anyway and a good discovery for me.
