The love that grew the tree,
The love that hand manipulated,
To make the pie you see,
And all that was, then, when you ate it,
One more thing, the love that grew the flour,
The man that in the field,
That sweated by the hour,
So soon it wheat would yield,
The one that raised the cane,
In far of sunny lands,
The one that send the rain,
To wet the clay and sand,
The sweet chick yellow fluff,
That soon lays eggs to multiply itself,
When one such love was not enough,
One now, a dozen on the shelf,
The love in this and that,
Did not just first appear,
Not wanton spring just from a hat,
Everywhere some love was near,
All together there was work,
Some and all, did this and that,
None brought from heaven by a stork,
Or hit to outfield by a bat,
Loving hands that folded dough,
The hands that chopped the ovens wood,
The feet, which, from here to there did go,
All of them, did what they could,
So if apple-pie, if in the sky,
With love was placed there first,
And too the rain, when heavens cry,
When first for life and love we'd thirst,©10/02/2013

A book could be written on the messages in this write. On Love, Life, Respect, Acceptance, Compassion, and the starved senses of today's busy monetary laden world.
To add to all that...I am going to make an apple pie today!
With respect and gratitude,

When you break it down to the hard work that goes into it...
It gives you so much more appreciation down to the final hands...
that prepare it for you with love :)
