The clanking of the bell brought me back
Thank God this is over
I can begin my long journey to my domicile
Putting my books in place
They look altogether a sack
No wonder Pete calls me humpty dumpty
Begin this journey young man
You'll walk home alone if you don’t come up with a plan
My mind told me
I remember trying to get some guy walk me
His name is simply Stan
Then again it all came rushing back to me
Can’t you see?
Oh, is it because the scars are all fading away?
Or is it until you become a limp and cant no more sway?
I have to come up with another option
You are slow but I need to be fast on this occasion
Slowly I put my bag on
Gently, you've suffered far too much to breakdown now
Fighting back tears, I set for my town
Seething pains coming up like my own
Okay, staircase now
I wish I could use the lift
But with no crown!
I will be rolled out like a clown
Finally, I am outside this oubliette
Standing with other boys seem idyllic
Then, the beating is another ordeal
Moving unnoticed to the other side
At least that was what I thought
I steadied myself to one wrought
This bus keeps coming late
And never waits for slow folks
At last it is around to eat a junk of students
I thought I could make it
This is way too heavy
Why would you allow Zirra, Pete, not forgetting Zeus fill me up
My bag seems to be talking now
I tried to push it to one side
Then off we go, it told
Before I could comprehend, they were all scattered on the floor
They scattered happily
All saying we are free from humpty dumpty
I scrambled to put them in place where they belong
Then the sound of a bus reverberating became distant along
I stopped fumbling with these freaks
Covering the distance, I thought
My energy became red alert
I went back to my sack picking
I'll not allow that infidel lay another hand on me
I picked up the last piece of paper and scrambled it in the sack
Now is the time
Where is your back-up plan?
You can't be serious young man
Okay, I thought you like allying your fears
What will I do now that you are in tears?
Think young bro'
Tears don't bring back anything
But you still have to cry after a bee sting
Carry your sack humpty dumpty
In school you can't stay
Gathering myself together
I began the long journey home
Playing the conversation in my head
I knew James the gate man will not allow that I fled
Taking another route
I crossed the school gates to the other side
The journey of one million miles begins with one step
One step after the other, I began
Where do you think you are going?
I heard a voice that sound like my disciplinarian
Please don't be Mr Jones, I muttered
I mustered up courage, turned and praying at the same time
I faced my nemesis
This is it, the end of the road
I will end up like a toad
But alas! The best news came proceeding from his mouth
I'm taking you home, little twat
Big boys don't cry
Even if they end up like a fry
You are a special boy, he kept saying
Circling my small hand around his large middle finger
We went home together
Mr Jones is not a meanie after all
At least I'm back home
Turning back from my friend Anuran
I went to bed
Tomorrow is another long day for me
Good night mini me.
