A poem in support of American troops and their families.

We are the mothers, the fathers, the sons,
the daughters, and the wives of the American Soldier.
We are the Heart of America.
There are cracks in us from the separation of our loved ones.
There is pride in us,
knowing that our soldiers are willing to give all that is dear,
to preserve all that is dear,
There is a deep sadness in us
when we see so many who do not understand
the necessity of the jobs our loved ones must do.
We have faith in our soldiers, faith in our leaders,
and a deep faith in our god,
faith that sustains us through the most difficult of times
We are the Heart of America.

We are the Soul of America.
We are the soldiers, who gladly go,
even with the knowledge that death maybe waiting.
We stand against all enemies,
those who are against us and what we must do
to preserve all that is dear.
We defend all of our countrymen,
those who support us,
and those who do not.
We show no preference in the defense of what is right,
all in need can depend upon us
For there is no greater love than a man
who would give up his life for his friends.
We have faith in our country, faith in our leaders,
and a deep faith in our God,
who is by our side in all that we do.
We are the Soul of America.

We do not die with each generation.
We do not hide ourselves in fear.
We do not turn a blind eye to the wrongs,
that exist both in our own land and in the lands of others.
We are strong in our faith.
We are determined in our service.
We are fearless in the face of fear.
