This was written for my husband (pictured above) on our seventh anniversary.7/2/2007
The child in me was never set free
until someone could find the key
She was locked inside wanting to be free
Scared and frightened just to be
She hid inside my anatomy
Afraid of both Mommy and Daddy
She cowered deep inside of me
You came along and turned the key
and freed her wth your honesty
Alowing me to be . . . Just Me
accepting me into this reality
You weren't just some ordinary boy
You filled my heart with so much Joy
Released her with your gentle hand
letting me know you understand
The child in me was what I need
To grow and nurture every seed
To be the woman that you see
You have set my inner child free
I don't know if you can see
how happy you have made me
You have made me so happy
you set my inner child free
