As many of you know, we had a vehicle fire on March 4, 2013, that destroyed our van and caused severe damage to our garage and items contained within. Only by God's grace was our home spared. I was reflecting on our personal tragedy late this morning and began praying and talking with God. I said, "God, if it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all." His answer came right there and then and I immediately began to write the following short poem. My friends, God is not simply good, He is the GREATEST and makes life worth living. I hope you enjoy this quick write that I put together with God's abundant blessings. May God rain His blessings down on all of you.
Bad luck? I have plenty of that!
Good luck avoids me like the plaque
Sometimes it seems like I'm sitting
On the edge of the place called Hades
Still, I thank God for His blessings
With those, He has been kind to me
Gives me much more than I deserve
Of His love, I'll always believe
Stress and strife doesn't come from God
I sleep in peace knowing that fact
All my problems I give to Him
And His sweet mercies never lack
Luck has nothing to do with God
Only blessings come from above
Luck is only superstition
God Himself gives nothing but love
So, why do I call my luck bad?
It's really a silly notion
For I've been blessed by the grace of God
'Tis the devil causing commotion
U don't have bad luck, if u did then that fire would have been worse, but in Gods grace you and the family survived and u still have ur home...now move to Florida and get a new home & life that God does provide for you...u r a lucky man, Paul...e
When two men hit the reset button and decide to go out looking for the good in the world, they not only find it but also a lot more.
