I can identify with this poem. I have more and more 'writer's block' moments, but I know the reason. When I'm inspired by something, the block disappears and a river of creativity flows. The problem is that I have reached a time in my life when I am not so easily inspired. But still...every now and then...it comes back, and it's always a thrill when it does. Keep at it, young poetess!

We all know how you feel Emily and I agree with Paul below. When we write it absorbs us completely and if there are too many other distractions around us, too many other things that need our attention, then it becomes more difficult. It will pass and the writing will flow again, best wishes.

You know, I thought I had writers block also but after really thinking about it came to the conclusion that my time was just very limited and didn't afford me much opportunity. When your mind is being pulled in ten directions at once it gets quite difficult to center on just one thing. I think that one of our biggest problems is trying to dazzle the reader with words when just being simple or being ourselves will more than do. There are rebels out there that dare to go beyond standards. I recall a man like Bruce Lee enjoyed philosophy,poetry etc. Poetry takes heart, and above all the bravery to say what you want to say. When Bruce Lee used his own new form-well you know the rest of the story.Enjoyed
