The ladder

 Crevasse in time

There is a crevasse in time that dwells in undefined spaces between time's moments.

One knows he is in this place when the veil of sorrow, waves in the timeless wind of grief, and
when the only sounds one can hear,
comes from the breathing of his
own breath,  forever echoing off the
deep cavern's loneliest of walls.

For one must be mindful to scale the steep canyon of despair with the talons of faith, and pull themselves up into the moment, where life moves on,
'less it becomes a prison for thy soul.

If only those suffering could hear your words here, said just like this, instead of "Well, you've just got to pull yourself up by your bootstraps," there would maybe be fewer suicides. There is validation in these words of yours. Validation and acceptance and encouragement. Validation in these of your words: "...scale the steep canyon of despair with the talons of faith,..." which, to me is admitting that we do feel like we are 'scraping,' to hang on by our fingernails. That is very powerful.

Wow, this is beautiful!
So much passion in your words, and authenticity.
Blessings,
Christine

Omega Factor by John Henning

Take some time to walk outside of your own mind and into another, walk slowly and carefully; the mind that you step on might be your own.

43 Haiku and 4 poems of a Wayward Sailor by Mike Walling

Haiku of a Wayward Sailor” encompasses both haiku and poems. Many of the haiku are based on my experiences at sea.
