moving with change

I hope you know

Let go of the tree limb child,
fall into the safety of the clover
and softly curving grasses wild.

The garden waits for your release,
the beauty of a floating feather,
destiny beaconing the flight of a leaf.

 Let the fear in your fingers,
 pour out from their tips,
let go of your securities,
let go of the rope,
let the ship go down
loosen your grip.

Your memories will haunt you,
of this I know,
but it's the only chance you have to grow,
change is the reason that all the stars glow.

And after a while you will lay in a green bed,
where the fragrance of daffodils and marigolds
fill the spaces in your head.

Let go and move on kind soul,
you are so loved, after all,
you are everything above you
and all things below.

That is what love is,
I hope you know.

I love the sense of freedom here...'Just let go and take the journey' comes to mind...beautiful verse...I especially love the line "change is the reason that all the stars glow"

Very releasing verse. A freefall this feels like, by the stretch of the expand. My adult daughter tatooed "JUST LET GO" in bold capital letters down her side. Even though, as a mother, I didn't like her marring her perfect skin, I said to her: "If you had to write on yourself permanently, those were pretty good words to choose." Your poem feels like that. ~~ Diana
