It just takes a spark~

Poem Artwork

Love Burns

Wax candle expelled her smoke,
wispy tendrils played in a haze,
glow of comfort, behind curtains,
where pain was hidden in the night,
beacon of warmth, filled his heart,
when her face illuminated in fire,
hypnotic, he brushed against her cheek,
ever so gently, as to protect her,
hands strong and big, cupped the wick,
nary a gust could extinguish,
this heated flame, to ever burn

I love that "glow of comfort, behind curtains", a highly evocative picture, for me. Ah, the warm protective hues of a tender flame...

there is both a romantic and a passionate message here, of an enduring love - a storied love that most dream of and some very fortunate experience - a work from the heart of a woman with a love that burns, beautifully conceived Christine - I wish peace and joy my dear fear friend - Jon Michael

Beautiful concept and expression, Christine. I adore those soft, smokey tendrils that curl as the flame is snuffed, but I now love the face in the flame and those wonderfully protective, cupping hands even more! :)) xx

Christine once again you master your topic with a special magic that only those who have truly loved can feel. It does only take a spark to create a flame but sadly yes if it is not protected and sheltered it can be so easily extinguished. As for huge hands, yes even the biggest and roughest hands can be as soft as velvet when caressing someone who holds their heart forever. Well done Chrissie.

Gorgeous Metaphors Christine!!
Have you ever bought those love candles?
They are so cool they each have a separate wick
to light...and as they burn the wax drips cool colors
and as the candle burns & burns the wicks turn into one flame!
they come in variety of perfumes with symbolic meanings
& unscented too...

so much is covered in this beautiful piece Christine, smoke, glow, pain, warmth protection by strong hands, that nary a thing can extinguish a bit of it.
