Diamond in the Rough
By April Sims © 2006
When I was in my darkest hours
of
Self-hatred
Self-doubt
and
Self-blame
Your warm and radiant light
Brightened my gloomy doorstep
And cheered me up
Then converted the tears of pain
To tears of joy
By remembering
And reflecting on the good
And not the bad
With your positive rays
You
Recharged me
Rejuvenated me
and
Restored me
You have helped me to weather
The storm of today
And have prepared me
To battle the bigger storm
That lies in wait
Upon the horizon
You are a true diamond in the rough
And for this
I cannot thank you enough
Nice...enjoyed...

A beautiful poem!
