I'll never be a stick-thin model,
I get acne on my face,
Every single morning when I rise
My hair is a disgrace.

I never know the time of day
and never really care,
I suposse I'm always in a rush
Don't worry, I'll be there.

When I'm walking down the street alone
I don't turn many heads,
So I just look up and meet your eye
and make you look instead.

I'm a little scared of camaras
But I'm not afarid to laugh,
To you I may not be a star
But really, who needs that?

I never know just what to say
Or when the moment's right,
I always end up blabbering
and starting pointless fights.

I break that witch is break-proof
And mistakenly start fires,
But you'll never catch me hurting friends
I'll never be a liar.

I can be a little stressful
And at times, forget my place,
I'm not always in a happy mood
I make my own mistakes.

Hollywood may not be calling,
Agents giving me a ring,
But I'm happy just the way I am
I wouldnt change a thing.

Never Original

These walls are papered
With faces and petals
That can only be seen
On the outside.

Sometimes,
I want to strip naked
And roll in paint.

Originality is an illusion
Created by glossy photographs
And desperate hopefuls
Who could never quite manage to grasp the concept of life.

(To die?)

To paint is to play God,
If only with a brush
And a limited palette.
You know ...
I find myself in color
(And Mary, and Jim, and Sue …)
But nobody actually cares.

It’s a vicious, vicious world!
Three piece suits and bibliophiles alike
Bloom and blossom
To the sounds of insulting rap music.

Illiterate speakers, transvestite soldiers
Guns, knives, Advil and ping pong.
Creation is condemned
(And why not? We’re all just posers)
While injustice is allowed.
The city screams of forgery!
(I live in a small town)
This blacktop is alive!
Live to die, die to live …
Inevitability holds us prisoner.
Structure, routine, hammer, GUN.

Find yourself.
Find yourself on someone else’s canvas.

Natasha this is a great self image but like all images we look at of ourselves they only let us see what we want to see. So now with your permission I will show you what others see...

You are a very pretty young lady who will I have no doubt break many a young man's heart in the years to come (not intentionally of course)
You have a sensitive side that is quite rare that can reach out to those who need a kind word or a hug
You are bright, articulate, and wise beyond your 14 years
You have a seld confidence as expressed in this poem that will help you in any career path you follow
and best of all you have a lovely imagination and are a great asset to our den as a lovable young lady poet.

Thank you for joining our family,
hugs
Fee
